An Open Letter To The Women Working For Fox News
Dear Fox Women Employee,
I know you don't know me and you may not feel comfortable talking to a Men's Magazine about what you're going through, but we can assure you that were are not your typical "Men's Magazine." We honor women through executive spotlights and do not present them as "sex-symbols" to be gawked at by members of the opposite sex.
The reason for this letter is to let you know that if you are going through anything at all, you can talk to us.
No one should have to face sexual harassment alone and no woman should be made to feel inferior to her counterparts in the workplace.
I just want you to know that you don't have to suffer in silence, and if Fox wants to pay you off to keep silent, I'm not mad at you if you decide to settle out of court. I understand that you are trying to make the best decisions to take care of yourself and your family.
I do have once a concern, though. If the sexual harassment allegations are true, and sexual harassment is running rampant in the network work environment, is remaining silent in the best interest of women in the workplace? What about the women who are not ready to face that kind of pressure? What about the "young" Fox intern, fresh out of college who thinks she's joining a winning team, only to be subjected to sexual harassment? What if she is not prepared to handle the harassment, and worst, gives in to it?
Yes, the world is a scary place and standing against people of powerful in the workplace can be really scary. However, I want you to know that I believe in you. You are courageous and strong and you no longer have to be silent if you are being sexually harassed.
You are beautiful and will remain as such no matter what.
Truly,
Legend Men's Magazine
