Malaysian teen boy beaten and raped by group of five men

GEORGE TOWN - Eighteen-year-old T.Nhaveen was viciously beaten and raped by a group of young men last Saturday, succumbing to his injuries and dying Thursday.

Nhaveen was in ICU at the Penang Hospital and declared brain dead shortly after his arrival.

Nhaveen and a friend hs been at a burger stall with his friend, T. Previin, 19, when the two were physically assaulted by a group of five men attacked them. Two of the men were former classmates and reportedly bullies of Nhaveen.

While Previin escaped, Nhaveen was dragged into a field in Jalan Kaki Bukit and sexually assaulted.

Nhaveen was brought to the hospital by one of the five suspects brothers.

In Malaysia, murder carries a mandatory death penalty upon conviction.

Months prior to his murder, Nhaveen has been diagnosed with a benign growth for which he underwent a successful surgery.

The family is heartbroken after his death.
