40 million without food and clean water 1,200 dead

South East Asia: South East Asia’s death toll has risen to more than 1,200 from the most recent monsoon flooding. Many communities in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh have been left without food and clean water to drink. Approximately 40 million people are being affected by this year’s monsoon season. Authorities continue to focus in sending food and relief-supplies. However Nepal’s government has been under scrutiny with claims that they are not reaching people who are in desperate need of supplies.
