Mysterious Chemical Haze in UK Coast

A mystery haze covered the coast of Sussex, UK caused an uncomfortable eye and throat irritation for over 150 people, said the National Health Service. While it is unclear what type of chemical gas was, there have been a few theories experts have voiced out. Simon Boxall, from the University of Southampton National Oceanography Center said: “It is highly likely that any effect will have come from the UK side or, possibly, a vessel running close to shore with the tide bringing material towards the beach.” Authorities said: “the effects were not serious and there is an investigation under way by a number of agencies.”
