The 2017 Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) Report has just been released by the FBI.
Over 300,000 complaints came in totaling a loss in excess of $1.4 billion.
The top three internet crimes reported by victims in 2017 were non-payment/non-delivery, personal data breach, and phishing scams which were filed with the IC3.
In addition to the 2017 statistics, the IC3 2017 Internet Crime Report provided information about support provided to local law enforcement, including information on business e-mail compromise, ransomware, tech support fraud, and extortion.
