Man sentenced to prison for killing is assaulted by two inmates

William A. O’Sullivan, 37, was sentenced to nine years in prison for the killing of his partner Anne Maree’s 22-month-old son by the Queensland Supreme Court in Brisbane, Australia. He was charged with manslaughter and cruelty to a child under 16. ABC News states that when emergency services arrived they found the toddler suffering from sever injuries including a fractured skull, a broken leg and a ruptured intestine.

O’Sullivan was given nine years in prison and will become eligible for parole after four years. Whilst in prison, however, He was attacked by two other convicts who stomped and kicked his head, suffering a severely fractured skull. O’Sullivan survived the incident and was hospitalized for 13 days after the incident. Authorities say this was a prison revenge attack.
