Man who killed in an Airbnb rental guest’s plea downgraded to manslaughter

Airbnb guest victim, Ramis Jonuzi

A man who was a guess of an Airbnb rental was killed by the host over a $210 dispute in Brighton East, Melbourne, Australia. 36-year-old Ramis Jonuzi was found dead facedown on a chocolate cake at the rental unit.

The aggressor, a trained chef named Craig Levy, of 37 years of age, beat Jonuzi, broke his nose, choked him, and evidence showed Levy tried to access Jonuzi’s bank account using his mobile device.

Because of Levy’s plea, the murder then was downgraded to manslaughter. A sentence has not been carried out up to date.
