Space Jam 2 will star LeBron James
There had been rumors about the making of a second Space Jam movie. None of these were confirmed until just a couple of days ago, when The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that LeBron James will be working with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler for the creation of a Space Jam sequel.
Space Jam was a movie released in 1996 in which Looney-Tunes characters such as 'Bugs Bunny,' 'Daffy Duck,' 'Taz-Manian Devil,' and other classic Warner Brothers characters are being challenged by a group of aliens into a basketball match in order to gain their freedom. As a result, they seek help of the king of basketball at the time, Mr. Michael "Air" Jordan himself.
While Jordan hasn't confirmed a cameo in the new SJ2 movie, the studio says they leave it open for Michael to decide. Filming is scheduled to begin during the basketball off-season next year.
