Uber's new program may start lending money to drivers in need
According to a report by Recode, Uber sent out a message to some of their drivers about a new financial product to help Uber drivers when they fall into financial need.
Some of the questions they are asking drivers if they have taken out loans in the past 3 years and inquiring how much would they more than likely request. (Ranging from "Less than 100" to "More than 500."
They are drawing criticism from some who feel that their new program sounds more like a PayDay loan. While others feel they should be paying their drivers more instead of giving them a loan.
We have reached out to Uber about their new program but have not yet heard back.
