US jobs increase lower than anticipated

The US missed the target mark for job growth by over 20,000 and some fear this may be the beginning of a recession.

Economists had expected an increase of 158,000 but only added some added 130,000 jobs last month.

PNC Bank Economist Gus Faucher predicted that jobs growth would continue to slow down in part as a result of uncertainty as it relates to trade but he doubts that will lead the US into another recession.
