Brazilian Soccer Player Subjected to Racist Chants By Rad Fans | SPORTS NEWS

Brazilian soccer player Everton Luiz who plays for the Partizan’s Serbian soccer team was recently met with racist chants of "monkey"during a match in Belgrade, Serbia, on Sunday.

Luiz broke down in tears on the field and told Reuters "My family and I feel at home in Serbia and this is why I could not stop the tears." "I took 90 minutes of racist abuse and other insults from the terraces and after that I found myself in a cauldron of emotionless individuals who charged at me when they should have protected me. I want to forget this, refocus on football and urge everyone to say ‘No’ to racism."

The Serbian Football Association took immediate action and announced Monday that it has temporarily suspended Rad from hosting home games as a result of the racist chants toward Luiz.
