New England Patriot’s Julian Edelman to miss 2017 Season

Patriots announced that wide receiver Julian Edelman will miss the 2017 football season because of a noncontact injury he suffered on Friday’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions. According to ESPN, the MMQB reported that Edelman suffered a torn ACL. Coach Belichick said “the team will have to move on and compete this season without him”, confirming that Edelman will not play this year. He added: “Unfortunately we’ve lost one. An important one. But as a team we still have to move forward and that’s what we’ll do. That process has already started.”
