Christopher Watts, the Colorado man who strangled and suffocated his pregnant wife, his 3-year-old and 4-year-old daughters was given three life sentences plus 84 years. He was charged and pleaded guilty to a total of nine felony charges.
According to court documents, his late wife’s family pleaded for the district attorney to spare his life, barely dodging a potential death penalty. “We believe no one has the right to take the life of another, even someone like you,” Frankie Rzucek, his wife’s brother said in court.
