Heartbreaking video of Bulled 10-year-old is a call to action for all
It’s a heartbreaking video recorded by Tabitha Sanders, showing her son pleading with her not to make him go to school.
Since the beginning of the school year, 10-year-old Troy has been complaining to his mother that he was being bullied by 12-year-old in his classroom.
The mother repeatedly asked the school staff at Boon Elementary and the Center School District of Kansas City, MO to intervene and remove the bully from the class. However, it was suggested that her son be removed from the class.
After she complained, the bullying continued on the playground and the boys bathroom, according to Sanders.
“I understand why people commit suicide after being bullied,” Troy told his mother.
The video of Troy pleading with his mother not to send him to school is heartbreaking to watch. When she pulled him out temporarily, the school threatened to report her if her son was out for more than 10 days.
According to Sanders, the bullying consisted of name relentless name-calling and physical assaults, all of which the school and school district failed to provide protection.
According to Sanders, the principal of Boon Elementary told her that there was nothing he could do.
Troy began attending therapy on October 16th to deal with the trauma associated with his bullying.
Sanders went to the Center School District officer Thursday to request a transfer out of the school district and is waiting on the results.
According to reports, the mother of the 12-year-old allegedly bullying Troy, works for the Center School District officer.
We reached out to the Boon Elementary School and the Center School District for comment but have not heard back as of yet.
