2 reasons why smart people don't buy Starbucks
So, we all know how addictive going to Starbucks can be. From the relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere to the wide variety of caffeinated delights, millions are attracted to the brand like a moth attracted the lights on our front porch. However, there is a good reason why smart people don't do Starbucks!
1. Starbucks is a waste of money
According to Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary, a cup of coffee cost only 18 cents to make. So, for individuals spending $5.00 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, they are literally throwing good money away.
2. Starbucks is a waste of time
If you were to calculate how much time it takes you to travel to and from Starbucks, coupled with the added wait time in line, the amount of time you are wasting on an overly priced cup of coffee is ridiculous.
If you were to spend a total of an hour at Starbucks every day for the next 30 years, you would have spent some 10,860 hours in total. That's over a year of your life at Starbucks.
That may seem a bit extreme to take it that far, but the reality is that you can make a nice cup of coffee at home for a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time and that is why smart people don't buy Starbucks.
